Golden Gully Forest Tourist Area is located in Fenghuang Town, Dinghu District, Zhaoqing City, within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, known as the ‘Hometown of Longevity’. It is said to be named after local villagers washed sand and panned for gold here during the Qing Dynasty. The scenic area is less than 100 kilometers away from Guangzhou and Foshan, and is closely linked to the ‘Four Famous Mountains of Lingnan’ and the Dinghu Mountain Nature Reserve. It covers an area of over 6000 acres with a forest coverage rate of more than 98% and a negative oxygen ion content of 35,000 per cubic centimeter. It is a provincial forest park in Guangdong Province, known as a ‘Natural Oxygen Bar’, a summer retreat in Lingnan, and the first stop for forest exploration tourism in the Greater Bay Area.
Within the Golden Gully Canyon, there is a subtropical primitive jungle waterfall group known as the ‘Golden Nine Waterfalls’. Three new internet-famous experience projects have been launched, including a glass suspension bridge and a sky bridge with a total length of 199 meters and a drop of 119 meters, known as the ‘Floating Bridge in the Clouds’. Together with the aerial glass water slide, which is 1000 meters long and has a drop of 99 meters, they lead a new trend in high-altitude sightseeing experience tourism in South China. The scenic area also has supporting facilities such as Gold Panning Paradise, Squirrel Paradise, Pet Paradise, Peace Dove Paradise, high-altitude expansion, rock climbing, camping, Hakka cuisine, and forest accommodation. It is an ecological tourism destination integrating forest tourism, high-altitude sightseeing interaction, outdoor exploration, leisure vacation, and natural science education. The ‘Seven Wonders of Golden Gully’ include Golden Gully Valley, Golden Avenue (Floating Bridge in the Clouds), Golden Rafting, Golden Sky Lake, Golden Cinnamon, Golden Ocean Ball, and Golden Theater (Golden Flying Man). Opening hours are from 08:30 to 17:00 all year round. Preferential policies: Children under 1.2 meters (not including) enter for free; children from 1.2 meters (including) to 1.4 meters (not including) receive a discount. Elderly people aged 60 (including) and above with ID receive a discount.
