Golden Sand Mellowness scenic area is situated across from the West Lake with Xishan Road to its east. It is adjacent to the flower nursery to the south and bordered by Lingyin Road to the northwest. The Jinsha Stream meanders from west to east. The entire scenic area is primarily focused on showcasing the culture of wine and Beijing Opera, combined with humanistic landscape resources such as Zhaogong Causeway and Gai Jiaotian’s former residence. The area features small hotels and eateries, and an opera stage that reflects the essence of Beijing Opera, allowing visitors to savor the’mellowness’ of art and culture while touring the scenic area.
The formation of the Golden Sand Mellowness scenic area, along with the three new scenic areas of San Tai Yun Ze, Mao Xiang Shui Qing, Fa Xiang Tan Chun, Hua Shan Xia Juan, and Shuang Feng Cha Yun, together construct a continuous water area of nearly 70 hectares. This integration truly creates a pastoral beauty where the West Lake and the western mountains form a harmonious landscape of mountains embracing water and water encircling the mountains.
