The Golden Turtle Reef is located at Tianheng Mountain in Penglai Pavilion scenic area. It is named after its shape resembling a turtle. Legend has it that two dragon kings gathered here. After demarcating the boundaries of the two seas, they agreed to let one of their subordinates, the golden turtle,盘踞 here as a marker for the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea. Thus, this golden turtle dutifully curled up here and then turned into a reef, forming the spectacular sight of ‘Golden Turtle Probing the Sea’. On its back, there are still footprints of ‘one foot straddling two seas’. The opening hours and specific business status are subject to the opening situation on that day.
