Graffiti Street in Huangjueping is located in the Huangjueping area of Jiulongpo District, Chongqing City, starting from Huangjueping Railway Hospital and ending at 501 Art Warehouse, with a total length of 1.25 kilometers and an area of about 50,000 square meters. It is one of the largest groups of graffiti art works in China and around the world today.
The entire graffiti project involved more than 800 workers, students, and artists who used 12,500 kilograms of various paints and nearly 30,000 brushes and paint rollers. After 150 days of meticulous work, 37 buildings were graffitied, 1.25 kilometers of roads were expanded, about 9,000 meters of various pipelines were buried underground, 2,700 square meters of dangerous buildings were demolished and rebuilt, and 20 sculptures were set up, significantly transforming the appearance of the entire neighborhood. The completion of Huangjueping Graffiti Art Street has completely changed the dilapidated urban appearance of Huangjueping in Chongqing, creating a favorable environment for the development of cultural and creative industries, mainly led by the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.
