This exhibition aims to create a serene sanctuary where art serves as a passage for the audience to temporarily escape from collective depression. Each work in the exhibition is created with natural materials, ranging from minerals, dust, soil, to ice and fossils. In the exhibition, geological changes spanning a broad time dimension are juxtaposed with rapid and intense social changes. The echoes from ‘deep time’ soothe our fatigue in the daily hustle and bustle. The word ‘dust’ in the exhibition title refers to the basic constituent parts of matter. ‘Children of Dust’ originates from a widely known theory: the elements that make up the human body and matter are derived from supernova explosions. In other words, we, like the dust, ice, and metal used in the works, are all fragments of the vast cosmic history. We are all children of dust.
Opening hours: from October 25th to February 8th. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on the day.Group Exhibition ‘Children of Dust’ in Hong Kong, China
