The Guan Zhong Memorial Hall is located in Beishanxicun, Qiling Sub-district, Linzi District. It is south of Niushan Mountain and north of Zihe River. It is built relying on the provincial-level cultural relic protection unit, Guan Zhong’s tomb. The memorial hall consists of two parts: the hall area and the park area. The hall area is composed of one hall, one ancestral temple and one tomb. There is also the Chinese Prime Minister Hall. Guan Zhong, named Yiwu and styled Zhong, was from Yingshang in the Spring and Autumn Period. That is today’s Yingshang County, Anhui Province. He came from a declining noble family. In his youth, on the one hand, influenced by his once prominent and glorious family history, Guan Zhong was extraordinary and refined, with lofty aspirations and had the consciousness of doing a great and vigorous cause. On the other hand, due to the poverty of his family and the hardships of making a living, Guan Zhong had the indomitable enterprising spirit. The disputes in troubled times and the turmoil of the current situation trained and forged Guan Zhong’s ability to clearly observe the social situation and understand the current situation. The Guan Zhong Memorial Hall takes Guan Zhong’s life journey from a prisoner to a prime minister as the main line. While showing the glorious life of the number one prime minister in the world, it comprehensively displays the profound thought of ‘Guan Zi’ and comprehensively shows the prime minister culture and the social contributions of famous prime ministers in all dynasties. The entire building layout makes use of the rich and varied terrain, uses a combination of central axis symmetry and garden dispersion, and adopts a tall and concise imitation Han Dynasty style shape, enriching the overall landscape effect of the group of buildings. The Chinese Couplet Society specially collects couplets for the memorial hall nationwide, increasing the cultural taste of the memorial hall. Each exhibition hall adopts advanced display methods and means in China, making the entire hall integrate artistry, participation and appreciation. The memorial hall is equipped with barrier-free passages and perfect service facilities from bottom to top.
