The Jigong Temple is located in Guangfu Yici Temple on Tai Ping Shan Street. This temple built in 1856 is a folk ancestral hall for neighbors to worship their ancestors. It was also once a shelter for patients, witnessing the different roles of old temples. Since the late singer Leslie Cheung prayed for marriage here, the temple has become famous. People who come to worship mostly tie joss sticks with red strings to pray for marriage.
Many celebrities also tie red strings in the temple to pray for marriage. Opening hours: Open all year round from 8:00 to 17:00. Tips: If you are a fan of Leslie Cheung, there are many shooting locations of Brother Leslie around the Jigong Temple in Sheung Wan.
