One of the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys.
During the Song Dynasty, there was a Faxiang Courtyard in the lane, commonly known as “Minshan Baofu Temple”. Cheng Shimeng, the prefect of Fuzhou who once served as the光禄卿 (a high-ranking official in ancient China), often came here to recite poems and take tours. The monks then engraved the four characters “Guanglu Yin Tai” on the stone. Thus, the name Guanglu Lane came into being.

There is a small alley on the west side of Guanglu Lane called Zaoti Alley. After Lin Juemin, a martyr of the 1911 Huanghuagang Uprising, sacrificed his life in Guangzhou, his family moved out of South Back Street and once took refuge in this alley.
