Wanzhu Garden is located on Guqin Hill in Nanjie Town, Guangning County. It is a tourist attraction newly built in 1993. Guangning is a bamboo township. There are a total of 55 varieties of locally produced bamboos, with a planting area of 80,000 hectares, ranking first in China. Wanzhu Garden covers an area of 3.3 hectares. It has introduced more than 120 varieties of bamboos from this county and other places.
It has also gathered more than 90 calligraphy masterpieces from 67 famous calligraphers. Additionally, pavilions and the Zhanchu Pavilion have been built, endowing Zhaoqing tourism with a new charm. In front of Wanzhu Garden, there is a crescent-shaped gate. Above it are the three large characters ‘Wanzhu Garden’ presented by Mr. Qi Gong. Not far from entering, on the steep cliff are ‘Calligraphy Forest of Steles’ inscribed by Wu Zuoren and ‘The Hometown of Bamboos’ written by Qin Esheng. On both sides of the stone steps, bamboo forests and the forest of steles alternately come into view. There are steles among the bamboos, and bamboos are beside the steles.
