On April 6, 2024, Gen1es, an Asian girl group created by Tencent Video and Baimi Fan, was officially established. The group’s name signifies a free-spirited, energetic, and agile image. The group consists of nine members: Qiao Yifu, RUAN, PAILIU, YEAN, ELYN, Wang Ke, Zeng Xueyao, Ouyang Didi, and EMMA Zhu Yimeng, hailing from China, Thailand, Japan, and Malaysia. They are primarily active in China and Thailand, with influence extending to neighboring countries such as Japan, Malaysia, and South Korea. ‘Hourglass’ is the debut EP of Gen1es, released on September 6, 2024. Hour represents time, the compact ‘sand grains’, and the boldness to break through obstacles under pressure.
