In recent years, with the advent of efficient networking and fast-food culture, we have entered an era where music and listeners choose each other. Compared to the mainstream music styles of today, we are curious whether instrumental rock, a relatively niche genre, can easily satisfy the tastes of contemporary young people. Therefore, in August last year, we united several bands from Yunnan to hold the first instrumental rock gathering in Yunnan – Yun Nan Mo. After that gathering, we found that many friends support this kind of music, and many musicians from Yunnan are sticking to their passion, creating more excellent instrumental rock music. This makes us believe that no matter how fast the pace of society is, no matter how the music trends change, there will always be people willing to spend six or seven minutes, or even more than ten minutes, to listen to a piece of music without vocals, to have a conversation with their inner selves. Compared to the decorated and insincere words, straightforward music can touch the soul more. Yun Nan Mo, we have never been silent, we are just making a louder voice in our own way! Let’s gather again to form a bright starry sky to illuminate this night!
