Guangzhou City God Temple

The Guangzhou City God Temple, also known as the Metropolitan City God Temple, is located next to the Nanyue Palace Museum. It was built in the third year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1370). It was a relatively large City God Temple in Lingnan during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. What we see now are parts rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. Only the main hall and the worship pavilion remain. It is a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit in Guangzhou. In addition, the Guangfu Temple Fair held during the Lantern Festival every year is also held here. There will be a particularly large number of people and it is especially lively.

Opening hours: Open from 8:00 to 17:00 all year round.
