The festival will showcase 32 large and medium-sized lantern sets and nearly a thousand atmospheric lights, revolving around the theme of ‘Vibrant Bay Area · New Guangzhou’. It will display the remarkable achievements of the bay area cities in economic development, cultural heritage, technological innovation, and urban construction through a combination of traditional and modern lantern styles. The lantern sets will adhere to the concept of ‘green, low-carbon, and energy-saving’ in terms of material technology and design, achieving a festive and harmonious lighting effect that reflects the integration of technology, ecology, and humanity in the development of the bay area. During the lantern festival, the Cultural Park will also host a series of supporting cultural activities, including a lantern-making competition for primary and secondary school students, a lighting ceremony, exhibitions, performances, and lantern riddles, traditional Chinese music, and other cultural events. The festival is open from September 15th to 17th and October 1st to 7th. The specific operating status is subject to the daily opening conditions.
