At any stage of life, there are always words we wish to say but have not spoken. Functionally, these words could be pivotal in our lives, yet it’s impossible to predict whether they will lead to positive or negative outcomes. Thus, we need not dwell on their functionality. Emotionally, however, these unspoken words will inevitably become a regret, turning into a sigh whenever recalled. Therefore, Diagonal Alley’s ‘Words Unsaid Yet’ national tour is based on the principle of ‘leaving no regrets,’ aiming to convey our thoughts and expressions to you as much as possible. We hope that after watching our performance, you will be able to speak out those ‘words you wanted to say’ that are buried in your heart, as these emotions, regardless of their nature, should ultimately be communicated. This tour coincides with Diagonal Alley’s 10th anniversary. Although we can’t remember the exact day the band was officially formed, we are certain it was a cold December night in 2014 when the three university classmates (lead vocalist Yifen, guitarist Shihua, and bassist Sihan) met and established the band in their school’s music club. They were also waiting for the band’s perfect fourth piece – drummer Tianhelong. Over the years, the four have gone through years of honing, and we will be in our best condition to welcome this extraordinary tour.
During this tour, we will showcase the essence of our ten years through song arrangements, VJ, and stage design, sharing the stories we have experienced over the decade. We also look forward to hearing your stories with Diagonal Alley and telling us all the ‘words you wanted to say’ but haven’t. We have specially prepared a 10th-anniversary special merchandise, meticulously designed with attention to detail to record the significant events of Diagonal Alley’s ten years, which is definitely worth looking forward to! Of course, there are more new band merchandise in the making, which will be organized and announced to everyone later. Although this tour begins in winter, as we always say, there is only one season at Diagonal Alley’s live performances – that is, midsummer! We look forward to meeting everyone in different places!
