In the grand celebration of the nation’s birthday, we joyfully usher in the National Day holiday. As a cultural landmark of Guangzhou, the Grand Buddha Temple not only bears a profound Buddhist cultural heritage but also actively engages in the dissemination and promotion of China’s excellent traditional culture. The ‘Second Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Traditional Culture Festival’, this grand cultural and artistic feast, will be held at the Grand Buddha Temple in Guangzhou from October 1st to October 7th.
The second Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Traditional Culture Festival will grandly present a series of splendid cultural feasts, including the ‘Everlasting River and Mountain, Ever-Green Motherland’ themed calligraphy exhibition, showcasing the profoundness of Chinese calligraphy; the Southern Lion Dance, inheriting the unique charm of Lingnan lion dance; Cantonese opera singing, chanting the long-lasting charm of Lingnan culture; there are also national essences such as cloisonné and Chao embroidery, which are exquisite crafts that are simply breathtaking; ancient musical instrument performances, playing the ancient rhymes of a thousand years, leading us through the tunnel of time and space; tea ceremony experiences, tasting the profoundness of Chinese tea culture; traditional Chinese painting exhibitions, showing the colorful Chinese culture; calligraphy and rubbing interactions, allowing us to touch the traces of history with our own hands; and Chinese knot weaving, weaving auspiciousness and blessings into every detail.
