Guangzhou International Bio Island, formerly known as ‘Guanzhou Island’, is a river island located at the southeast end of Guangzhou City, along the development belt of the Pearl River’s downstream channel.
The island is fringed by a beautiful greenway, unlike the bustling city center, it is not crowded with people. Cycling on the island allows for carefree enjoyment without the fear of collisions. However, safety should still be a priority. Bicycles can be rented at the ShuiMo Garden station.
There are three parks on the island: LanSheng Garden, ShuiMo Garden, and DieCui Garden. LanSheng Garden is primarily built around a small valley, with a pavilion on top offering panoramic views of the Bio Island and the University Town. DieCui Garden has a similar style to LanSheng Garden.
