Guangzhou Stele Forest

The Guangzhou Stele Forest is located in the section from above the Nine Dragon Spring well to the foot of Mount Moxingling, covering an area of more than 16,000 square meters. The predecessor of the Guangzhou Stele Forest was the Baiyun Temple. The Baiyun Temple was built in the Song Dynasty and is one of the ancient temples with a long history in Guangzhou. Unfortunately, it was destroyed during the Anti-Japanese War. In 1992, the Guangzhou Stele Forest was newly built here. The total area of ‘Guangzhou Stele Forest’ is 16,000 square meters. Nearly 300 steles are placed. It has collected some poems and calligraphy masterpieces of famous scholars of past dynasties, modern poets, and calligraphers praising the scenery of Lingnan, praising Guangzhou City, and praising Baiyun Mountain. In the forms of indoor steles, outdoor steles, and cliff inscriptions, it is integrated into gardens and natural scenic spots, showing the splendid culture of the Chinese nation. It is divided into three scenic areas: the rock carving area, Nanya Hall, and Xianheixuan scenic area.

It is open all day throughout the year. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
