Guazhu Lake, formerly known as Qiaotangwan. It is located in the northeast of China Textile City in Keqiao. It is wide in the south and narrow in the north. It is 2 kilometers long from south to north and about 1 kilometer long from east to west. Its shape is like a melon, hence the name. Currently, it has a water surface area of 1.5 square kilometers and is the third largest lake on the Shaoxing Plain. There are ninety-eight wells, three temples and four ancestral halls around it. Every step is a scenery and there are historical sites everywhere. Nearby there is Ganshenghu Lake. Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty took refuge and moored here, which is connected to Guazhu Lake. In the 1990s, the South Bank Park was built on Guazhu Lake. On this basis, four major parks including the south bank entrance square, the west bank, the north bank, and the east bank have been successively built. Especially the south bank entrance square park and the west bank park add luster to Guazhu Lake. The south bank entrance square park of Guazhu Lake is the only way for foreign tourists to enter the Guazhu Lake scenic area and also an important external window for Guazhu Lake and even the entire Keqiao. The core of the entrance square is the first-phase project, which is composed of a circular square, a rainbow corridor and an artificial brook and other scenic spots. Taking the center of the square as the axis, from west to east in clockwise order are autumn forest shade, sparse forest with wet flowers, camellia mirror line, bamboo forest rest area, and magnolia fragrance. Fully utilize the color, flowering period and leaf color of plants to reflect the space of the landscape. Open all year round and open all day.
