Originating at the foot of the Great Wall, Gubei Water Town Hot Springs have been tested by the Beijing Geological Engineering Survey Institute. The spring’s water emerges at a temperature of 60 degrees Celsius, with a total dissolved substance content of less than 1000mg/kg. According to Japanese hot spring regulations, it is classified as an iron spring and also a therapeutic spring.
The spring water is sourced from 3800 meters beneath the Great Wall, rich in iron, sulfur, magnesium, and various other trace elements beneficial to human health. The water quality is excellent, making it a genuine natural hot spring. Bathing in the open-air hot springs allows one to meditate with eyes closed, whispering with the heavens and the earth. In the warm indoor pools, the cozy atmosphere and the gentle sound of water create a truly soul-soothing experience. The elegant architecture and exquisite facilities cater to different preferences, whether it’s indoor or outdoor hot spring areas, ensuring a unique and rejuvenating hot spring experience for all. Operating hours are from 09:00 to 21:00 all year round. The City Hot Spring Pavilion is open from 15:30 to 23:00, and the Imperial Pools Hot Spring City operates from 08:30 to 22:30. Preferential policies include free admission for children under 1.2 meters in height, free access for retired officers with the retirement certificate issued by the State Council and Central Military Commission, and free access for disabled personnel due to war or work-related injuries with the relevant certificates. Journalists with a press card issued by the General Administration of Press and Publication are also admitted for free. Students with a student ID or children between 1.2 and 1.5 meters in height, and those under 16 years old with an ID, receive discounted tickets. Elderly individuals over 60 years old with an ID and national fire and rescue personnel with relevant certificates also receive discounted tickets.
