In 1933, the world-famous Gubeikou Resistance also took place here, so the role of the Great Wall is particularly prominent. The terrain of Gubeikou is dangerous. It is in the middle section between Shanhaiguan and Juyongguan. The mountains are steep and the roads are dangerous. However, there are beautiful mountains and waters and many historical sites and scenic spots. It is a must-pass place for emperors of the Qing Dynasty to go to the northeast to worship ancestors, hunt and make inspections. Kangxi once spent the summer here and Qianlong once reviewed troops here. There are scenic spots such as the former palace, the Yang Linggong Temple, Panlong Mountain and the Gubeikou Resistance Site around the Great Wall.
