In the hot spring valley of Xinhui Gudou Hot Spring, there are more than 30 open-air hot spring pools. The hot spring resources are very rich and there are many varieties. It is also a place in Guangdong Province that simultaneously has two different types of hot springs: marine hot spring (salty hot spring) and radon hot spring (fresh hot spring). In the middle of the hot spring valley, there is an artificial cobblestone river course about 150 meters long.
It not only adds a bit of charm to the scenic area, but also connects with the large stage in the middle water area and various large and small soaking pools, dividing the architectural community in the valley into three major areas. To the north is the European-style ‘Roman Palace’. To the east is the ‘Dongying Pavilion’ in Japanese folk style. To the south is the ‘Tang Palace’ built according to the style of Huaqing Palace in the Tang Dynasty of China. In the Roman Palace, you can enjoy the performance on the middle stage while sipping coffee. In the elegant Japanese-style hot spring area, the environment is very good. There are small bridges and flowing water. When soaking in a hot spring, the environment is emphasized. Here, you can get very good relaxation. The Tang Palace is another style. With a garden as the background, a round pool is built with cobblestones. Outside the Tang Palace, there are another 9 open-air soaking pools. Wooden fences are used to create a simple and unsophisticated interest. The characteristic is the ‘Bagua Pool’, where the eddy current surges ceaselessly. Equally eye-catching is a statue of Yang Guifei emerging from the bath about two meters tall opposite the Tang Palace. Beside the statue, there is a hot stone slab.
