Guicheng Banyue Island Ecological Park, designed by the American SWA company, is a part of Foshan City’s thousand-acre park project. It is designed as an urban pastoral theme park that integrates scientific education, wetland sightseeing, leisure and entertainment, and ecological environmental protection. The park features newly created landscape nodes such as a circular plank road, a lake island square, an aerial corridor, a space-themed children’s play area, and a sunny beach. It also retains a large bamboo garden, large trees, and a beach area under the elevated plank road, preserving the historical memories of Guicheng people towards Banyue Island. The park is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.
