Guilin Park is located at No. 128 Guilin Road, covering an area of 3.55 hectares. It was initially constructed in 1929 with an investment of 3.5 million silver dollars and was completed in 1932. The park is designed in the traditional style of a Jiangnan classical garden, with an exquisite and unique layout. Set against the backdrop of rugged rocks, small ponds, and ancient pine and cypress trees, it forms a perfectly integrated architectural complex.
Guilin Park is home to 23 varieties of osmanthus trees, including golden, silver, and red osmanthus, with over 1,000 trees in total. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, the park is filled with the fragrance of blooming osmanthus, which is refreshing and invigorating. The garden art of Guilin Park employs traditional Jiangnan classical layout techniques, creating a harmonious and well-coordinated architectural style. Features such as the dragon wall, flower wall, small bridges, flowing water, layered mountains, peaks, pavilions, pavilions, winding paths, lush flowers and trees, and a cheerful architectural style are all present. Buildings such as the Ha Ha Pavilion, Lingyun Pavilion, Songyue Pavilion, Yi Pavilion, Baxian Terrace, Guanyin Pavilion, Siji Hall, Welcoming Hall, Osmanthus Hall, Feixiang Hall, Jiuqu Corridor, Banrua Boat, ‘Double Rainbows Lying on the Waves’, and arch bridges, all contribute to the perfect unity of Guilin Park, set against the rugged rocks, clear ponds, and ancient pine and cypress trees. The park is planted with over 1,000 golden, silver, and red osmanthus trees of 23 varieties. Every Mid-Autumn Festival, the park is filled with fragrance.
