Gulang Stone is a notable rock formation located on Gulangyu Island. Historically known as ‘Round Sandbar’ and ‘Round Islet’ during the Tang and Song dynasties, the island earned these names due to its oval shape and the beaches that surround it, giving it a distinctive appearance. At that time, the island was covered with large rocks and lush green grass, yet it was devoid of human habitation, creating a desolate and abandoned atmosphere.
Gulang Stone is accessible throughout the year and is open all day long.
