Guling Street, the heart of the Lushan Scenic Area, is situated at an altitude of 1100 meters, truly a celestial street. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and a canyon on one, it forms a semi-circular street from east to west. To the east lies Dayue Mountain, to the west is Dalian Mountain, to the south is the Gniu Ridge, and to the north is the Scissor Gorge.
Standing in the central park, one can overlook the ancient city of Jiujiang and the jade belt of the Yangtze River, making it an ideal place for leisure, entertainment, and relaxation. It is often the first destination for Lushan tourists.
Guling Street is lined with shops, featuring post offices, banks, cinemas, auditoriums, and other facilities. It also boasts the Lushan Building, Yunzhong Hotel, Lulin Restaurant, and more. With over 30 hotels, guesthouses, and sanatoriums, as well as more than 1400 western-style villas, it offers more than 13,000 guest beds. In 1983 alone, 380 beds accommodated 2.2 million domestic and foreign tourists.
Most visitors to Lushan first arrive at Guling Street, where they can arrange accommodation and choose their travel routes. From here, they prepare for their sightseeing while solving the problem of food and lodging. The area is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.
