The Drum Tower on Gulou Street in Beijing is located on the central axis of Beijing, at the intersection of Gulou East Street and Di’anmenwai Street. Together with the Bell Tower, it was the timekeeping center for the whole city of Beijing during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties.
