The Guo Moruo Memorial Hall is located in Qianhai, Xicheng District. The yard of Guo Moruo’s former residence is irregular in shape. There are two small hills in the front yard. The living courtyard is located in the north of the yard and is a two-entry quadrangle. In the front yard, there is a tall ginkgo tree and a seated statue of Guo Moruo. In the second entry courtyard, wintersweet and crabapple are planted.
In the backyard, there are shelves for climbing plants such as grapes and wisteria. The gate is a hanging flower gate. After entering the gate, there is a courtyard composed of the main room and east-west wing rooms. Both the main room and the east-west wing rooms have eaves corridors, and there are covered corridors connecting the eaves corridors. The front row main rooms are the living room, office, and bedroom respectively. Passing through the small rose garden, in the middle of the back row is the place where Mr. and Mrs. Guo Moruo grind calligraphy. They all remain as they were when Guo Moruo was alive. Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year from 09:00 to 16:30; Closed all day on Monday throughout the year. Closed period: From December 25th to the fourth day of the first lunar month of the following year. Preferential policies: Children: Individual visits by teenagers under 18 years old (inclusive) are free. Students: College students (except adult college students and graduate students) with valid certificates can enjoy half-price. Elderly: Elderly people aged 60 (inclusive) to 65 (exclusive) can enjoy half-price; Retired personnel and local elderly people aged 65 (inclusive) and above are free. Disabled people: With valid certificates, it is free.
