It is said that during the time when Mo Ye and Gan Jiang, a couple, were ordered by King He Lu of Wu to forge swords in the mountains, they often climbed nearby hilltops and rock peaks to gaze into the distance at their hometown in the State of Wu, missing their loved ones. Subsequently, the place where they stood was named ‘Wang Wu Terrace’ and a pavilion was built in commemoration.
