The Haihua Island Museum Cluster is located in Area E of Haihua Island No.1 Island, Danzhou City, Hainan Province, China. Covering an area of approximately 74,000 square meters and with a total construction area of about 23,000 square meters, it is composed of eight modern individual buildings and is one of the star business formats of Haihua Island.

This exhibition is presented in a ‘performance-combined’ format, with the museum combining on-site Dunhuang dances to blend the beauty of Eastern classical art with the agility of modern technology, creating an art form that is more accessible to the public and opening up a new cultural form suitable for all ages.– No.5 and No.6 Pavilions – ‘Gentle Breeze’: A Qing Dynasty and Republic of China Cheongsam Exhibition. ‘A gentle breeze rises, the water waves do not stir’, the rich exhibits of Qi costumes and cheongsams in the museum provide an immersive viewing experience with a sense of the times.
– No.7 Pavilion – ‘Lasting as Mountains and Rivers’: A special exhibition of Chinese aesthetic paradigms. The exhibition displays more than 120 works by four great artists in the history of Chinese art, Xu Beihong, Dai Ze, Wu Guanzhong, and Zhu Danian, combined with the architectural features of the venue, featuring large hanging scroll installations, etc. ‘The style of the gentleman is as lofty as mountains and as enduring as rivers’ comes from the Northern Song Dynasty literati Fan Zhongyan’s ‘Record of Yan’s Ancestral Hall’, used to praise people’s noble qualities and outstanding achievements.
Chinese modern art has been through more than 100 years of hardships and changes, and Xu Beihong, Wu Guanzhong, Zhu Danian, and Dai Ze are all familiar names in the history of art; they are the creators and witnesses of Chinese modern art.Among the four artists, Xu Beihong is a master who founded a school and promoted the development of Chinese modern art throughout his life. Dai Ze is a representative of the second generation of Chinese artists and a centenarian professor of art aesthetic education. Wu Guanzhong is a representative Chinese artist renowned internationally in the 20th century who proposed ‘formal beauty’. Zhu Danian is a pioneer of Chinese ceramic art, modern murals, and modern meticulous color painting.
Their artistic creations enumerate and explain what is a model of Chinese aesthetics in different contents and forms and by converging means. This exhibition presents iconic artists and classic representative works, offering audiences a good aesthetic experience in a state of great love and beauty. Museum No. 8 – ‘Tide Rises’ Contemporary Trendy Art Exhibition. The root of trendy art points to Western pop art and Japanese anime culture. The representative artists of these two on a global scale are Andy Warhol and Takashi Murakami. The ‘Tide Rises – Contemporary Trendy Art Exhibition’ sorts and displays the systematic works and personal images of outstanding trendy art artists Andy Warhol and Takashi Murakami in three parts: ‘Tide Rises’, ‘Diffusion’, and ‘Local’. Combining the multi-form changes of trendy art and the derivatives of local artists Shen Jingdong, Zhao Xiaoli, Zheng Yuanwu, and He Yang as the main content, and adding trendy symbols such as violent bears and digital collections.
