Haikou Clock Tower is an important landmark building in Haikou, with a history of nearly a century. It was initially established to adapt to foreign trade. The tower is five stories high, with walls built from red bricks.
Located on Changti Road, facing the estuary, the Haikou Clock Tower overlooks the famous Haikou Qilou Old Street, a row of antique buildings opposite the tower. The current Haikou Clock Tower was rebuilt in 1987 according to the original appearance of the old clock tower, and it is named ‘Ancient Bell with a New Sound.’ The clock tower is a symbol of Haikou, witnessing the city’s growth process.
It is open all year round, 24/7, with specific business hours subject to the daily opening status.
