The Ancient Salt Fields Golf Club is a large-scale comprehensive project integrating golf, villas, and more, currently the largest on the western line of Hainan. The project covers an area of over 2000 acres with a total construction area of 235,000 square meters, including an 18-hole international golf course, villas, garden houses, apartments, a large water golf practice field, leisure commercial town, business club, and SPA club. It boasts a unique peninsular topography, 270-degree first-line sea views, surrounded by 150,000 acres of mangrove wetland ecological natural scenery and a thousand-year-old salt field cultural heritage.
The Ancient Salt Fields Golf Course is of Links style – built on sandy land connecting the ocean and land, considered a pure and suitable golfing sanctuary in the world. The terrain of Ancient Salt Fields was formed by volcanic eruptions millions of years ago. The course is surrounded by about 5 kilometers of coastline, with natural exposed strong weathered basalt combined with the course’s natural landscape stones, accompanied by the natural scenery of mangroves.
Famous Australian golf course designer Graham Marsh was specially invited to take charge, adhering to the standard of international 18-hole 72-par golf courses, extracting the essence of Links, and combining it with the texture of the Ancient Salt Fields, becoming a golf course that embraces cultural relics and natural treasures, unparalleled and irreplaceable in the world. Soft and thrilling sand traps, deep blue and vexing ponds, dense and neat long grass, 9 holes around the sea, 7572 yards in total with sea breeze blowing throughout, it is a typical coastal golf course with a strong European and American Links course charm.
