The Museum of Nationalities is located in the north of Wuzhishan City, and it is one of the largest museums in Hainan.
The museum is a quadrangle-style building with ethnic characteristics, simple yet magnificent.
It houses six main exhibition halls and two flexible exhibition halls, as well as a national crafts mall and workshops.
The exhibition halls display various cultural relics, ethnic folk items, historical photos, and materials.
The Museum of Nationalities was opened in 1986.
Upon entering, one is greeted by several large Li brocade hangings, embroidered with themes of Li people’s weddings, farming, and other life scenes, on black self-dyed cloth with red, green, and white threads forming various geometric patterns.
The museum is open all year round, closed on Mondays; from Tuesday to Sunday, it is open from 09:00 to 17:30, closed on Mondays (except for national holidays).
