The mango base on Fruit Island is planted with about 28,000 mango trees of high-quality varieties such as Tainong, Guifei, Ivory, and Australian mango. It has obtained pollution-free agricultural product certification and export qualifications. It is rated as a demonstration park for standardized mango production of tropical crops in Hainan, a demonstration orchard in Sanya City in 2017, and one of the top ten agricultural brands in Sanya City.
It is an experimental demonstration base for major scientific and technological projects in Hainan Province (in cooperation with the Tropical Crop Germplasm Resources Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences). The Gaofeng poverty alleviation industry project and the Fruit Island pitaya agricultural technology demonstration park project are located in Tianya District, Sanya City, covering an area of 340 mu. It is a demonstration park for standardized production of tropical crops in Hainan Province and a poverty alleviation employment base in Sanya City. It has obtained pollution-free agricultural product certification. The project aims to build a tropical high-efficiency agricultural technology demonstration park for pitaya and a key poverty alleviation project pilot. It introduces an advanced intelligent agricultural system to realize the whole process management of scientific and standardized production and planting, and has a strong exemplary leading role.
