This is a beach over a hundred meters long, flanked by black volcanic rocks, resembling a giant ‘concave’ shape. Millions of years ago, a volcanic eruption occurred here, and the hot lava cooled upon contact with air and seawater, forming these rugged black stones. Turquoise waves surge and chase, crashing into the black reefs, splashing into white foam. The beach is soft and loose, with a flat rocky area near the sea, devoid of complex terrain and dangerous whirlpools, making it safe and thrilling for water play. Na’an Bay is one of the attractions of the Leiqiong Volcano Global Geopark, with its volcanic section being a standard volcanic rock stratum of the Leizhou Peninsula, with clear and distinct layering: the lower part is the dark-colored Shimuling volcanic clastic rock, the upper part has gently layered and clear volcanic clastic rock and well-developed columnar jointed basalt, with baked red layers in between. Opening hours and business status are subject to the day’s opening conditions.
