Haitan Ancient City is located on Pingtan Island, a large island in Fujian Province, and is situated in the beautiful Tannan Bay Coastal Tourism Area. The ancient city is built with the theme of Minyue marine culture.

How many various cases were adjudicated here… Today, the Ming and Qing Dynasty Yamen in Haitan Ancient City has been officially opened to the public. Through on-site setting and the display of real props, it restores the scenes of the ancient yamen’s仪仗, case hearings, and the daily life of yamen runners. There is also the elaborately choreographed “The Amazing Case in the Yamen” that takes you through time and space for a real case hearing journey.


Wanghai Tower is the iconic Ming and Qing style building in Haitan Ancient City. It is located in the center of the ancient city, at the north corner of Qilin Square, and Chenggong Avenue passes through the building. The eaves adopt the rare xie shan roof style, and there are four celestial animal figurines always accompanying it, showing great grandeur. Wanghai Tower is the tallest building in the ancient city. Open daily from January 1st to December 31st, 09:30 to 17:00; during New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day, the opening hours are extended to 09:30 to 20:00.
