Haiyang Hutou Bay (the shooting base of the TV series ‘Big Yangko’) is located in the Pipa Island area of Taoyuan Village, Liugezhuang Town, Haiyang City, Shandong Province. The base covers an area of 500 mu and is planned to cover an area of 3,000 mu. It is a large-scale comprehensive tourist area integrating film and television shooting, film and television tourism, red tourism, patriotic education, sketching and photography, vacation, leisure and sightseeing. At present, the base is one of the 19 shooting bases designated by the National Radio and Television Association of China and has been approved as the Haiyang shooting base of Shandong TV Drama Production Center. In 2014, the TV series ‘Big Yangko’ was shot with the film and television base as the main location. Haiyang Hutou Bay (the shooting base of the TV series ‘Big Yangko’) is backed by high mountains in the north and faces the Yellow Sea in the south. It is composed of ‘three mountains, three islands and two bays’, namely Duoshan Mountain, Pipa Island, Xiaoqingdao Island and Zhudao Island. Here, the beach is fine and smooth, shaded by green trees, and the forests are dyed in layers. The waves are beating against the reefs, forming a charming scene with the blue water, blue sky and ancient black-tiled buildings. Here, the colors are distinct in all seasons and the scenery is beautiful. Coupled with the ancient town with the style of Jiaodong fishing village, it is also a shooting location for film and television while enjoying the sea and listening to the waves. The project is constructed in three phases. From 2013 to 2014, in order to cooperate with the famous director Guo Jingyu to shoot the red-era drama ‘Big Yangko’, the Jiaodong fishing village town in the 1930s and 1940s was reproduced in an original way. Ancient architectural courtyard groups, sea temples, seaweed houses, seaside trestle bridges, antique wharf markets, stages, ancient roads, blockhouses and other scenic spots were built for film and television shooting. Multiple crews such as ‘Big Yangko’, ‘Great Luck’ and ‘Landmine Warfare’ entered the base for shooting. Many famous actors such as Yang Zhigang, Wang Kuirong, Yang Zi, Yu Yi, Manyi and Liu Qianhan showed their charm here. Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.
