Haiyueyan Park is located at Jinniushan, Yongkou Village, Houjie. The park covers an area of more than 300 mu and is one of the eight old scenic spots in Dongguan. This mountain is a red stone hillock ten zhang high and one li in circumference, with a unique shape. The three characters ‘Haiyueyan’ are engraved on the crab shell rock and were engraved in the second year of Shaoxing (1132). Under the rock is a stone well. There was once a saying that ‘sails on the sea fall into the well’. Inside there are the majestic Sanqing Hall, the resplendent Haiyue Hall, the rippling Haiyue Lake with green water and the winding Zigzag Bridge. It is a good place for tourists to relax and calm their minds.
