Huilonglou is located in Guanshan Village, Qiuchang Subdistrict. It was initially built in the midsummer of the 12th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty and took three years to complete. It was funded by Ye Jianshan, an overseas Chinese from Malaysia. It covers an area of approximately 4,390.4 square meters.
Huilonglou faces southwest, sitting in the northeast. The overall shape is rectangular. It is a castle-style Hakka enclosed house composed of a pond, a threshing ground, a front enclosure, a main hall, side houses, watchtowers, etc. At the same time, it is also a traditional three-entry ancestral hall building and a large four-attached-tower circular Hakka house. There is a “Kuixing Tower” built behind the enclosed house. The gateway building, the ancestral hall, and the living rooms are all connected by alleyways and covered corridors.Hakka Enclosed House – Huilonglou
