The Han Dynasty Brick Carving Museum, located at Tong’an Road, Shibei District, Qingdao City, is a meticulously crafted collaboration between Shibei District and military collector Mr. Zhang Xinkuan. It is recognized as a museum with a vast collection of Han Dynasty brick carvings, spanning a wide range of geographical origins and covering various categories. The museum houses over ten thousand pieces, with a display area of 5000 square meters, showcasing more than a thousand items.
It features six main exhibition halls on the first floor, including four major permanent exhibition halls titled ‘Gems of China’, ‘Brick Chronicles of the World’, ‘Exquisite Craftsmanship’, and ‘Legacy of the Great Han’, as well as two special exhibition halls named ‘Golden Flow of Artisans’ and ‘Elegant and Enduring’.The second floor is equipped with a temporary exhibition hall, an academic lecture hall, a Han culture experience center, a cultural and creative supermarket, a café, a cultural and creative space, and a Sinology education section, making it a comprehensive museum that integrates collection, preservation, research, display, and education. The museum is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00 to 17:00; closed all day on Mondays.
