Hanfeng Lake, an artificial lake formed by the construction of the Yangtze River Three Gorges Project, is located in the northeastern part of Chongqing City, within the jurisdiction of Kai County. It spans 12.51 kilometers from east to west and 5.86 kilometers from north to south, making it a world-renowned feature.
Adjacent to the lake, the new city of Kai County’s immigrants has been built, creating a stunning vista where “the city is in the lake, the lake is in the mountains, and the meaning is in the heart.” To capitalize on the region’s hydrophilic advantages, Kai County has developed a lakeside park encircling Hanfeng Lake. The park stretches 41 kilometers in length, with 20 kilometers and an area of 1.5 million square meters of the main lakeside landscape belt already in place.
The park includes hydrophilic plank roads and platforms, with comfortable seating arranged along pedestrian walkways and lawns for visitors to rest and stroll, immersing themselves in the fragrance of flowers and the songs of birds. From any point in the park, visitors can enjoy zero-distance water contact. It operates all year round, 24 hours a day.
For children, there is a preferential policy: free entry for those under 1.2 meters (inclusive); half price for those between 1.2 meters (exclusive) and 1.4 meters (inclusive). Please note that this information is for reference only, and specific discount details are subject to the scenic spot’s disclosure.
The park offers a range of service facilities, including luggage storage, baby carriage rental, wheelchair rental, restrooms, Kaizhou Academy, Shengshan Academy, Confucian Temple, a smoking area near Wen Yuan Gate, and vending machines located under the steps of Wengfeng Tower.
