Hanjiang River

The Hanjiang River is one of the important rivers in the southeast coast of China. It was formerly known as Yuanjiang River and then as Exi River. The Hanjiang River basin covers 22 cities and counties in 3 provinces including Guangdong, Fujian and Jiangxi, with a basin area of 30,112 square kilometers. The upper reaches of the Hanjiang River are formed by the confluence of the Meijiang River and the Tingjiang River. The Meijiang River is the main stream. It originates from Shangfeng, Zijin County, Guangdong Province. It flows from southwest to northeast through Wuhua, Xingning, Meixian, Meizhou and Dapu and other cities and counties in Guangdong Province. It converges with the Tingjiang River at Sanheba. The Tingjiang River originates from Laijiashan in Ninghua County, Fujian Province. It flows from north to south through Changting, Wuping, Shanghang, Yongding and other counties in Fujian Province and Dapu County in Guangdong Province. After the confluence of the Meijiang River and the Tingjiang River, it is called the Hanjiang River. It flows from north to south through Fengshun, Chao’an and other counties in Guangdong Province. It enters the river network area of the Hanjiang River Delta in Chaozhou City. It flows through Shantou City and into the South China Sea through the east, west and north streams. Taking the Meijiang River as the source, the total length of the main stream is 470 kilometers. The opening hours are subject to the actual opening status on the day.
