The Hengdian China Revolutionary War Expo City is another large-scale youth national defense education and patriotism education base following the Hengdian Red Army Long March Expo City. More than 98% of the Hengdian China Revolutionary War Expo City is mountainous area. The entrance is adjacent to the entrance of the Red Army Long March Expo City. This scenic area is mainly for visiting and traveling by car or self-driving.
It has a two-lane road with an effective pavement of 8 meters. The 23-kilometer mountain road is the main tour route. According to the historical development sequence of revolutionary wars, it organically connects various visiting attractions. The more than 10-kilometer footpath is a secondary route to shorten the visiting distance, so that tourists can visit up close. The entire scenic area is divided into six parts: First, the Party History Corridor, mainly featuring the venues of the First to Seventh National Congresses of the Communist Party of China and related Party history materials exhibitions.Second, the Anti-Japanese War scenic area, including: Yan’an ancient city; the former sites of the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army and the New Fourth Army; the attractions of tunnel warfare, landmine warfare, and railway guerrilla forces; the guerrilla area in Wild Man Valley; the Shajiabang scenic spot; the observation area for anti-Japanese war air combat performances; and the memorial area for anti-Japanese heroes.
Third, the Liberation War scenic area, including: the former site of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Xibaipo, the former site of Shuangqing Villa, and the former site of the Nanjing Presidential Palace; the demonstration area for liberating Yijiangshan Island.
