The Salt Industry History Museum, originally known as the Xiqin Guild Hall funded by Shaanxi salt merchants who operated in Ziliujing, was first established in the first year of the Qianlong Emperor’s reign (1736 AD). It is not only a museum but also an exquisite architectural masterpiece, integrating the architectural styles of the Ming and Qing dynasties’ imperial and civilian buildings, with a grand scale and resplendent in gold and glory.
Visiting the museum, one might struggle to understand the specific usage and value of the exhibits without a guide. Hiring a guide is highly recommended; they will explain the knowledge and value of various artifacts, allowing visitors to delve into the stories behind them and marvel at the ancients’ wisdom. The museum is open all year round from 08:30 to 17:30; on Labor Day, it is open from 08:30 to 18:00.Concessions:
