The Honeymoon Pavilion is a pavilion on Dong’ao Island, located on the peak of Axe Shoulder in the northwest of the beach. To reach the Honeymoon Pavilion, one needs to climb 1008 steps. The walls are engraved with poems of literati through the ages. The main scenic spot on Axe Shoulder is the ‘Honeymoon Pavilion’, which has four floors. Inside there is a large bell. On the top, there is a dragon and phoenix pagoda. The building is majestic and magnificent. There is also a stele inscription of ‘Honeymoon Pavilion’. Additionally, three small pavilions named ‘Viewing the Sun’, ‘Viewing the Moon’, and ‘Viewing the Sea’ are built. In the center of the top floor of the Honeymoon Pavilion hangs a huge ‘Love at First Sight’ bell. When struck with a stone, the bell sound lingers and echoes in the blue sky and sea.
