Hong Art Museum is an experimental art institution with a cross-background of sociology and art, located in the Zhixin Center designed by John Portman in the heart of Wenzhou City. The Westin Hotel at the top of the tower features Portman’s iconic vertical and inward-looking towering atrium. Hong Art Museum spans an entire horizontal floor in the lower part of the tower, transforming the most common standard office space into a distinctive art museum. In the precisely calculated commercial space of the city center, the design of Hong Art Museum creates a breathable gap, allowing contemporary art and sociological issues to permeate more into the public’s view.
