The White Cube Gallery is pleased to host a solo exhibition of new paintings by American artist Howardena Pindell. Pindell has had a career spanning more than fifty years and has given dynamic materiality to classic works of painting. The circular pattern, derived from profound childhood memories, has become one of the most enduring elements in Pindell’s works, presented in various forms such as ellipses, perforations, and punched dots. In the late 1960s, this artist pioneered her signature spray painting technique, atomizing and accumulating patterns to create generative pointillism of light and color. This exhibition is the first presentation of Pindell’s works since the gallery announced its representation of the artist in May 2024. Opening hours: 11/20 – 1/8.
