Bruce Lee (1940–1973), originally named Li Zhenfan, is a superstar renowned internationally as ‘Bruce Lee’. He was born in the United States, studied in Hong Kong and the United States. He established the ‘Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute’ in the United States and innovatively introduced the concept of Chinese Kung Fu into the American film and television industry. In 1971, he returned to Hong Kong to shoot five films, which became classics. He combined the concepts of multiple martial arts and created ‘Jeet Kune Do’. Off-screen, Bruce Lee loved his family and reading. He expressed sincere affection through letters and expounded on his life philosophy through words. Throughout his life, he strived to break through inherent limitations. Through daily practice and self-reflection, he transcended himself and became an international legend. The Hong Kong Heritage Museum and the Bruce Lee Foundation have joined hands again to present the ‘Ordinary·Extraordinary – Bruce Lee’ exhibition, displaying about 400 precious cultural relics. Large-scale light and shadow multimedia displays and interactive projects have been added to review the resolute journey of Li Zhenfan and how he created the legend of Bruce Lee from aspects such as films, martial arts, and personal cultivation.
