The Hong Kong Cultural Centre is located in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. It is adjacent to the Space Museum and the Hong Kong Museum of Art. The concert hall adopts an oval design and has a total of 2019 seats. There is a world-renowned pipe organ in the hall, with 93 stops and 8000 pipes, which is very unique. The centre has three main performance venues: concert hall, grand theatre and theatre. Various performing arts productions are staged throughout the year.
Many internationally renowned orchestras, choirs, musicians and theatres often perform in the performance halls of the Cultural Centre. There are also exhibition halls and four lobby exhibition venues and more than ten conference and rehearsal venues. Currently managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong, it is a major performance venue in Hong Kong. The grand theatre has advanced stage facilities such as a rotating scene-changing system and an electrically lifted orchestra pit. The audience seats are divided into three tiers and there are more than 1730 seats. There is an infrared system between seats, and interpretation in five different languages can be selected. The theatre has a flexible stage design that can be freely changed into one-way, transverse, three-way and central forms. The audience seats can accommodate more than 303 to 490 audiences according to the stage changes, which is very convenient. Performing Arts Gift Shop, located in the lobby, sells souvenirs of the Cultural Centre, various performing arts accessories, musical instrument scores and related books. It is a good place to buy souvenirs and gifts. Centre Tour The Cultural Centre specially offers centre tours for tourists. A tour guide leads visitors to visit every corner of the Cultural Centre, including various performance venues and art installations.
