The Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre is located in Kowloon Park. The building was formerly Blocks S61 and S62 of Whitfield Barracks and was completed in 1910. In 1970, the barracks were converted into Kowloon Park. These two buildings became the temporary site of the Hong Kong Museum of History in 1983. Until 1998, the Hong Kong Museum of History moved out. After that, these two buildings have been vacant. After several restoration projects for cultural relics, they have become the Heritage Discovery Centre of the Antiquities and Monuments Office today. It has been open to the public since October 2005. The main facilities include permanent exhibition halls, special exhibition halls, lecture halls, educational activity rooms and reference libraries. Opening hours: Open from Monday to Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 to 18:00 throughout the year; Open from Saturday to Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00 throughout the year. Service facilities: Toilet. Barrier-free services: Barrier-free parking lot, barrier-free entrance, barrier-free toilet. Tips: 1. The museum provides free Wi-Fi wireless Internet access facilities for public use. 2.
