The Hong Kong News Expo officially opened on December 5, 2018, and is a museum themed around news, showcasing the history and development of the Hong Kong journalism industry. It displays valuable old news equipment, news clips, and newspapers.
The museum is divided into different sections, telling the history of news development across various media through exhibition boards, short films, and interactive touch screens. There is also a special area dedicated to significant events in the journalism world.
Located in the former Belilios Market, a Grade 3 historic building, visitors can experience being a TV anchor and take and purchase commemorative photos themed around newspapers. The museum is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 19:00.
